INTERIOR STYLING: AUTUMN DINING
/It is simply intriguing to see the seasonal change in the air since the arrival of Autumn. The weather is lovely, along with the change in exterior color palettes. However, since there are always external changes when dealing with the various seasons, what about internal changes? Has an updated color palette been put in place? How about the placement of pumpkins sparingly? There are unlimited ways to incorporate Autumn throughout individual rooms, and it takes little.
Questions often arise about my interior surroundings, even when I am unfamiliar with an individual. Recently, several of those questions pertained to the styling of my living space for the arrival of the new season.
Moreover, yes, I did style my dining room. I started in my dining room because I love decorative pumpkins even when it is not the harvest season. They are stylish. I like to use pumpkins everywhere, but I especially love how they look in my dining area.
The colors of yellow, red, and orange are known for this time of the season, and at times, purple is never an addition. So, I added various splashes of purple, which complemented the entire space perfectly. That said, Anthocyanin is a pigment responsible for dark red and purple leaves during Autumn.
I did not have to change much, considering my dining room is already a combination of purple and orange.
See below for the simple transformation that changed the original dining table setup.
1.) Changed napkin rings (removed the purple and used orange)
2.) Added placemats (diagonal, two only)
3.) Added orange leaves, with berries and grapes (grapes were in the original tablescape)
4.) Added additional plates and saucers (stacked look)
5.) The addition of many pumpkins in various finishes, textures, and colors
How simple was that? Nothing significant or drastic, but a little rearranging and adding new decorative pieces.
