SUMMER IS HERE: I AM CRAVING SUMMERTIME VIBES
/Summertime arrived June 21st, so it is officially here, and yes, those hot and humid lazy days are here until September 22nd. Of course, I am not a summer chick, but I am blessed and continually thankful to see another day regardless of the high temperatures. Besides, I get many opportunities to become creative during those sweltering and bright sunny days.
However, there is nothing like expressing creativity; my passion is styling unique and beautiful interiors, but I also like to create statement-making decorative pieces. My Christmas tree is considered a decorative element and is still alive, healthy, and standing gorgeously in my living room. Every time I walk past my living room, I see my Christmas tree as the much-needed greenery necessary to bring the outdoors into my interior space. I know God is the creator of everything, so I am not surprised it is still thriving. After all, Christmas trees are a type of greenery.
Moreover, the fun part was creating a color scheme to reflect the current season. I had a blast brainstorming on the overall project. My final selection of light blue hydrangeas, vibrant yellow sunflowers, various colorful butterflies, bold yellow Craspedia billy balls, eucalyptus branches, and a combination of multi-colored flowers brought an authentic summertime vibe. My vision became the actual reality of how I knew it would look. Of course, I had to add the hat to keep the sun minimal, right? Of course, I did.
I am looking forward to seeing how long my tree lasts. Will it last until Christmas again? Who knows, but I have enjoyed her occupying my living room and having a blast changing her seasonal outfits.
Until next time, enjoy those long, hot, and sunny days, otherwise known as summertime.
