EXTERIOR DETAILS: DOORS OF ITALY

As an avid lover of commercial and residential structures, I will always remember how they continually shape and transform their surroundings and the world. I am intrigued by their presence. I enjoyed seeing many exterior doors in Italy and surrounding cities, such as Pisa, Rome, Verona, Florence, and Venice. Yes, I tried to capture a photo of them all, but that was impossible.

Exterior doors have always captured my attention, and they still do. How can they not? They are the first thing I see when I look at a structure. However, when I travel to other countries, I see they are even more detailed and oversized.

Moreover, their dominance was impressive, and even though some were extreme when it came to size because I had to step back to try and get the size, the details were simply beautiful. With the many intricate carvings, the unique door knockers and knobs, the various materials, the color palettes, and the hinges, I have come to accept that I am overly obsessed with exterior doors.

Oh, and I especially love architectural structures with greenery on the exterior, as shown in image six. It is stylishly intriguing how both complement each other.
